Talmo Pereira: Hi, I’m Talmo. I’m an Assistant Professor and Director of the Center for AI and Research Computing at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, where my lab uses computer vision and deep learning to study animal behavior, neuroscience, and plants! I started the lab as a Salk Fellow in 2021. I received my BS in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. I received my PhD in Neuroscience at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute, co-advised by Mala Murthy and Joshua Shaevitz.
