Election Predictions

Jo Hardin: Jo Hardin is a professor of mathematics and statistics at Pomona College, where she has taught since 2002. A Pomona alumna, she earned her PhD in Statistics from UC Davis and specializes in statistical analysis of high-throughput genetic data, including data normalization, clustering, classification, and the development of metrics for measuring complex signals. Her research and teaching also focus on modernizing statistics and data science education and making these fields more accessible to undergraduate students. Hardin is a co-author of the open-access textbook Introduction to Modern Statistics and has collaborated with researchers across medicine, biology, geology, and physics. She is particularly passionate about undergraduate research, open educational resources, and expanding representation within statistics and data science curricula.
